Civ6 Cheats vs CheatVault: Honest Comparison

I used both CheatVault and Civ6 Cheats on the same Deity saves last season. Here is a simple comparison — price, features, patch-day behavior, and where each one wins.

Civ6 Cheats vs CheatVault feature and pricing comparison for 2026

Why I compared these two

CheatVault and Civ6 Cheats both sell Civilization VI trainers. Both list monthly and lifetime plans. On paper they look similar — which is why buyers pick the wrong one.

I ran CheatVault for six weeks, then switched to Civ6 Cheats for the rest of the season. Same PC, same saves, mostly Deity and Apocalypse games. This is not sponsored — just what I saw when I tracked patch days.

Neither tool is risk-free. Firaxis updates can break trainers. You still assume account risk. This comparison is about maintenance and features — not guaranteed wins.

Price — monthly, lifetime, and downtime

Civ6 Cheats lists $35/month and $150 lifetime on the pricing page. CheatVault was $42/month and $189 lifetime when I subscribed — prices change, but CheatVault often costs more.

Lifetime only saves money if the tool stays online. I waited nine days on CheatVault rebuilds after two Firaxis patches. Civ6 Cheats was usually back within 24–36 hours. If you play daily, downtime matters.

Feature table — map reveal, radar, and combat automation

FeatureCiv6 CheatsCheatVault
Map revealYes, toggleable categoriesYes, fewer toggles
Fog removalYesPartial
Strategic radarYes, adjustable rangeYes, fixed size
Combat automationPer unit-class profilesOne global profile
Resource boostsYes + distance readoutsYes, basic markers
Public Updates logYesDiscord only
In-game menuYesYes, busier layout

Civ6 Cheats wins on toggles. I run city + barbarian pins early, then turn off resource markers after I settle. CheatVault's menu felt crowded on a 1080p screen.

Combat automation mattered more on Deity wars. Civ6 Cheats let me save separate melee and siege profiles. CheatVault worked, but I retuned settings every session.

Patch-day behavior

Both tools went offline after major Firaxis patches in 2026. The difference was communication and speed.

CheatVault's Discord was quiet for 48–72 hours with no ETA. Civ6 Cheats posted rebuild notes on the public Updates page within a day.

See our patch maintenance guide for the checklist I use before loading a save.

Where CheatVault still wins

CheatVault's Discord is larger — more screenshots and shared configs if you learn from community posts.

If you play once a week and only need basic map reveal, CheatVault's entry tier can be enough.

Verdict — who should pick which

Pick Civ6 Cheats if you play Deity often, want separate combat profiles, and want a public Updates page before each patch.

Pick CheatVault if you prefer a bigger Discord community and play casually.
